Gatehouse Academy offers a long-term residential treatment program for the troubled youths with disabilities like drugs and alcohol abuse, substance abuse or behavioral issues. They focus on the recovery of students ages 17-26 providing education, motivation, recreation and therapy. The programs offered are leadership training, therapy and academic education. During leadership training, they are taught to act responsibly and how to communicate with family and community.

The therapeutic health service at the academy provides very professional therapy. Licensed and accredited professionals provide therapy and other clinical services. The clinical director assists the staffs in managing the matters such as clinical crises or struggle to recovery. They work at improving social skills, effective life skills, and behavioral skills. In academics program, the faculties first test the ability and willingness of the student to learn the things. An enhanced education program is designed that includes diagnostic testing, practice exams and immediate feedback to examine the improvement in the student.

The residential program offers a safe environment where students, staffs and faculties live in a family style. In their daily life skill, they prepare meal, plans for shopping, work ethics; take care of cleanliness and maintenance. The recreation activities involve karate, jogging, swimming, walking trails and yoga classes. Moreover, weekly family workshops are organized in which parents are asked to participate to meet the needs of family in the way that is more appropriate.
