I went there in June 2000, was there for 2 months. They completely lie about going back to base camp 2x a week - you are in the wilderness 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, until you leave the program. meaning you don't shower till you leave. until then, "showers" consist of "billy baths" which are buckets of cold water and some shampoo in a plastic bag that you can't really wash your hair with seeing how there's not enough water in the bucket to rinse it out. the staff suck, didn't like them. i didn't like the way students were encouraged to call each other out and nit-pick at each other just to earn brownie points with staff. lame. i don't like how we're made to read our impact letters outloud to the rest of the group, even though it's none of their business. i don't like that we can't talk to the group until we "earn the right." Don't send your kid here, or any wilderness program, for that matter. These people suck. Not gonna give my name on here because I don't want my name associated with this program, BUT just to prove I went there, I was in group 2, therapist was Vaughn Heath. Staff at the time included Kelly, Michelle, Melissa, Sylvia, etc. Annette and Arnie worked at the base camp (forget what they did, exactly).
