There are some academies today that are making use of a dog therapy now days but in my knowledge this is the first academy who has adopted this technique. They are trying to prove that when teens are in the contact of nature, and train a dog they are more teachable. Here the students increase in their ability to concentrate when they begin caring for a dog.. The dog handlers are here to care for the dogs and to train them so that they can not harm to the teenagers and for their proper training.

Here they had described about two academies one is Tipton that is for boys and another is meadowlark that is for girls.
Large amount of dog which are used in the academy are produced by their own breeding session. Before accepting any donated dog for program they are tested such as health test, temperament test etc. they put puppies and dogs are in foster home unless and until they got completely trained. The training which is being provided to dog is to perform the task like narcotics search, to detect the bomb, to pick up the object and give it to its owner and to open doors etc.
