Horizon Academy is a program totally focused to offer education to students with learning disabilities. The goal is to assist students with fundamental skills and to learn the policies so that they can successfully return to a conventional school. It is a co-ed school, serving students from first grade through high school. Each child’s Individual Educational Plan drives the curriculum for the students. The foremost focus is on basic skills to become an effective and efficient learner. The basic program includes reading, spelling, mathematics, written phrase, life skills training, technology training and physical education.

The academy provides various programs for students who are having some learning disability. These programs include After School Program, Summer School, June Clinic and July Clinics. After School Program includes Homework, Mad Science, Gardening, etc. Summer School runs parallel to the programs of academy during the school year in a condensed time frame. June Clinics include reading and developing social skills and July Clinics includes mathematics, writing and study skills. Hence, they have a variety of events that goes on from month to month not only the school year but also in June and July as well.

Parents with child who have some disability or have learning problems can enroll their child showing his/her psychological report to gain complete information about the student. The school put together valuable resources to assist the parents who are seeking for knowledge in the areas of learning disabilities, choosing the right school or program for their child, along with their parenting concerns.
