Eckerd Youth Alternatives (EYA) is a classified, non-profitable organization established in 1968 with immense vision and heart. The vision is to ensure the parents that their child has the opportunity to succeed. The heart is to believe in the intrinsic integrity and potential in every child. For this, the mission has started about 40 programs for about 80,000 youths nationwide to have another chance to be flourishing in life. It offers therapeutic programs for both boys and girls in a nurturing and caring environment to learn how to redirect their behavior, responsibilities and how to use their skills to become productive. It has become a primary provider of Day treatment and residential therapeutic programs.

The various programs offered are Behavioral Health, Child Welfare and Join Alumni Association. To help boys/girls ages 10-17 in their behavioral treatment that have faced difficulties school, home or community; outdoor as well as housing therapeutic programs, private academics, early intervention and prevention programs, day treatment programs like many services are offered to them. Eckerd Community has also developed an alternative for child welfare that is society-based service that assures safety, security and stability of children. The students of middle and high schools are invited who could not succeed in their classrooms and get frustrated of it. It also provides the membership of Alumni Association to the graduates from EYA program.

The News section of the website displays the success stories of the organization. If any individual wants to have their career at EYA, they have complete opportunity to show their talent as the organization welcomes the fresh ideas and encourage their staff members as they have the motive to work together for the benefit of teens. The team is completely dedicated to help troubled children and at-risk youths. If any individual wants to help these youths, they can also donate to the fund of the organization to meet the special needs of the children.
