Clear view horizons has changed my teenagers life. He was neither good in academics nor in sports but now he is.

This is a very good transitional residential center for 13 to 18 year girls and also has some good clear view programs for 18 to 20 year women. This center helps to girls to develop interpersonal skills. they provide programs to the girls who are not prepare to rejoin their families

do not send your child to this school. Mary Thielbahr lures in desperate families, promises false hope, and then abuses the girl and manipulates the parents until all of the money is gone. DO NOT SEND ANYONE TO THIS SCHOOL

If you think about sending your daughter here dont. The people who run this program are thieves. Many girls things here went missing and have never been given back. They say that it just gets lost in the mail. The program is not secure for a girl who was attending was able to get cocaine sent to her. A ton of girls I knew who went here lost half of their stuff and were never able to get them back when they left. There have been many lawsuits pressed against ClearView its a wonder it is still open.

I am a past student and although I have never heard of anyone going missing I would definately not recommend this "rustic finishing school" to anyone. Mary is money hungry and completely unfair. The girls and I constantly lived in fear because of "how small she could make our lives". From the outside it looks like a beautiful cabin but on the inside we had black mold that took months till Mary did anything about it. Also if you were trusted you could live in the 4th wheel that was previously used for therapy with Kris. However the bathroom didnt work then the heat stopped working and we had to deal with being inside the cold trailer in 10 degree weather in December! Another thing I feel very strongly about is DO NOT SEND YOUR DAUGHTER IF SHE HAS ANY KIND OF EATING DISORDER! Anorexia, bulimia, ednos, or binge eating disorder. Mary put us all on diets and triggered the eating disorder voice. I lost 70 lbs while I was there and nothing was said about it! I did make great friends, people I still talk to today in fact, and I believe this experience ( going through hell) made me stronger but I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and I sent my step-daughter to this facility because she got involved with the wrong crowd and became addicted to heroin. After paying nearly 20K to get our daughter there for three months we were shut off from nearly all communication with her. She was to come home after three months and we had to get an attorney involved to bring our daughter home. When we finally got her home at the age of 18, we learned of an abusive environment which included girls being tied up and lead around on ropes and other girls being punished by having to sleep in a tent for days on end with no communication with anyone, all while a family of bears lived behind the facility. Our daughter was fed chicken for every meal and the only liquid was water, with occasional milk or juice in the morning. The staff was rude and ignorant when we tried to call our daughter, stating that they were the "house moms" and we would have to call when Mary, the Director was there. Mind you, all while our daughter was on the other side of the country! The director of the facility removed our daughter from the facility and brought her to her private residence, taking a minor across state lines from Montana to her home in Sandpoint, Idaho, all without our permission. This is kidnapping! We were threatened that the Director is "results oriented" and that our daughter would be in a coffin if we did not fork over another $15K to keep her there another three months. We had to send the Deputy Sheriff to the facility to find out if our daughter was still living. We would NOT recommend this facility to ANYONE!

I really like Clearview because of all the family involvement. When looking for a place to trust a teen girl too, the concern of not being part of the treatment was scary.
