Cherry Gulch is situated in the scenic beauty of Treasure Valley, under the western slope of Rocky Mountains. It is a therapeutic boarding school for boys and girls between the ages of 10 to 14. Its philosophy is that when beauties of nature and therapy combine with each other, they create an ideal atmosphere for the treatment of our troubled teens. Its aim is check the problems of those teens at early stage, help them realize their full potential and make them a good social human being.
This is a private boarding school that provides highly trained therapists who are always ready to deal with student’s problems and give them an environment that let the tender teens feel that they are living in their home. These therapists deal with their emotional, social and behavioral problems. The school provides individual, group and family psychotherapy, individual treatment plans, active experimental learning etc.
The school is spread in over 220 acres. It offers a beautiful view of mountains, the Black Canyon Reservoir and the Payette River. It also provides students the country-like atmosphere with mixed environment of nearby Bose, which has many museums and historical landmarks. Cherry Gulch is an ideal combination of school with trained and experienced therapists and beautiful scenes of the Old West.

This therapeutic boarding school for boys offers equine therapy, experiential learning and parenting programs in order to treat their social, emotional and behavioral problems for their all round development.

Cherry Gulch has changed alot in the past year. I have noticed that after talking with several students there, I was told that there are no leaders there as opposed to a year ago, when there were 15 to 20 leaders. The food is horrible and the hygiene of the students is horrendous. I do not like the equine therapy idea nor the idea of doing Judo every week. I was also told that the kids were supposed to get I-pods there several months ago and as of today they still do not have them. The therapists there are amazing and you cant find better ones. The education/academics is a joke. The staff are okay but give too many consequences.
