The Village is a residential treatment center for adolescents and struggling youths ages 13 to 18. It has been established in 1986. It has the combined approach of clinical and chemical dependency. The center admits the students who have disabilities like mood disorder, substance abuse issues like drugs and alcohol abuse, behavioral disorder, difficulties in school. It is a co-ed center for male and female with their respective separate campus. The aim of the program is to self-motivate the child with respect of authority, tolerance for tension and frustration and other physical work.
It is about more than 20 years, the staffs are working as team across the United States with clinical and other sources to help parents and their child. To admit a child, parents can directly call them to enquiry about admission procedure. They also treat other calls from counselors and treatment professional if they have some query. Patients come to the center with wide range of problems and they diagnose the symptom before admitting them. These problems include depression, anxiety, drugs and alcohol abuse, anger, other mood disorder, unhealthiness, eating disorder, self-harming behavior, etc. Before evaluating the problem of the patient, they ask for some general information about them like name, age, parents’ name, symptoms, previous treatment history and likewise. There is no time length for child of stay at the center. It completely depends on the requirement of the individual.

It is a residential treatment center the=at helps the troubled adolescents to get their life back on track. They goal at developing self-confidence, respect in community and society, decision-making ability and other valuable life skills. It has separate campus for male and female students.

I spent 12 months at PV. I was traumatized, forced to have a gynecological exam against my will, told that I caused my childhood rape, witnessed numerous physical restraints of young children, was drugged against my will, forced to strip in front of groups of people, deprived of sleep, given thorazine, denied access to my family and basically brainwashed. My parents paid 500 dollars a day for 11 months for me to be manipulated and psychologically tortured. My education while there was completely neglected. I sat in a corner and taught myself. Send your kids here if you want them to suffer alone and unloved, if you want them to be broken, if you want to risk them being raped/abused/molested, if you feel like you can pay a corporation to love your child better than you can.

There are some good people there, but I feel like I wasted ALOT of money. The discharge plan made for my daughter was not in place, in fact, the Village had been told 3 weeks prior that they didn't think the aftercare program they have would be suitable for us. The problem is that I, like most parents, found myself in a desperate position trying to get help for my daughter. All in all, I would say the bottom line is that the Village is a business
