Two major components of cognitive behavioral therapy include functional analysis and skills training. In group therapy, the OCD patient interacts with other people who are also sufferer of OCD and share their experience with them and discuss coping techniques. Through this therapy they gain emotional support, encouragement etc for fast recovery. In family therapy Patient understand the disorders within the family which imparts a positive impact on them as not only the patient but their family members are also sufferer of this disease. OCD is neither a behavior disorder nor a character flaw but it is a biological disorder.
