Tricyclic antidepressants and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors are most effective medication for treating OCD. Although both medication are effective yet SSRIs are preferred more due to less side effects, less withdrawal symptoms and less danger in case of heavy doses. Serotonin is a substance in the brain that may be imbalanced in individuals with OCD. SSRIs work by inhibiting reuptake of serotonin in the presynaptic nerve ending that allows more serotonin to increase in the synaptic cleft, where it is needed. Anti OCD medications have few side defects that include nausea, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, constipation and few more. OCF is non profitable organization to help people with OCD disease.
