There are many reasons for dating violence such as drug and alcohol abuse, depression, influenced by modern culture, abusive thoughts, family conflicts, environment, culture etc. Dating violence is generally widespread among teens of secondary as teens are usually confused by their dating partners and may not know how to deal with their mind games, they wants some of the partner in their life for dating without knowing how to maintain good relationships. Some of the most common warning signs which is usually found in dating abuser are blame game, cruelty to animals, blame it on love, possessiveness, jealousy, destructive behavior, criticism, disrespect for women etc.

Yes, dating violence has become very common among teens. There can be many reasons behind the dating violence including substance abuse, mental disorders like CSB, family conflicts and many more. Due to the lack of awareness in teen age many teenagers become victim of date rape. It is very necessary to know about the warning sign of abuser because it can save teenagers from future harm. Dating abuser can be recognized by some warning sign like blaming the partner for all relationship problems, compel the partner to so things in which partner is not comfortable, yells at partner, unnecessary jealousy, Blame it on love, Possessive, Cruelty to animals, Disrespect for women, Destructive behavior, Criticism, avoid the emotion to express and avoid solving problem with their partner.

The main reason behind dating violence is to gain and maintain total control over you. Date rape is sexual harassment. Girls are not raped by strangers but they also raped by the person they know like her friends and others. Symptoms are: isolation, emotional changes, jealousy issue, need to impress, making excuses and constant communication. Teens can do something to reduce the risk of rape such as learn how to defend yourself, always keep cell phone, stay in control and many more.
