Effects of negative self scripts
I am an undergraduate women and never been so confident for my self image. I have a daughter and I want to see her at the top of professional world. But I am worried. Is there any probability that my negative self image can influence my daughter also? What are negative self scripts and what are its effects. What is the meaning of the term psycho cybernetics?

Negative self-scripts means the negative thoughts about yourself that you remind to yourself every day. The person that thought negative about his/her self-image will be uncreative or unmanageable and because of that responsible for present and future’s unhappiness or failures. Psycho cybernetic means “mind steersman” (something or someone in your mind that takes you or your life in a particular direction). If any body listens to this unconscious state of mind that force towards the goal, then he/she can achieve the desired aim.

Negative self-scripts are the negative thoughts person have about himself and due to this negative self script or negative self image he remind himself daily through continuous negative statements about himself. People with negative self thoughts like ineffectiveness, senselessness and contrariety compel the person keep on loosing self confidence. Negative self script or negative self image affects the life of the person negatively. Due to the people have to face many problems like social anxiety, depression, sleeping disorder, lack of concentration and many more problems. This is not a genetic abnormality so it is not necessary that your daughter will also suffer this problem. But it can leave a negative impact on your daughters life. Psycho cybernetics is a term used in the psychology from past many years. It is simply defined as “mind-steersman".

Yes, there is a possibility that your negative self image can influence your daughter also as whatever she will see in her surroundings she will adopt that only. She will be motivated by you as Parents are only teaching good things to your child. When your daughter will see that you are suffering from negative self image and engaging in such work that are useless then she will also adopt that thing. So you need to come out of your negative self image if you want your daughter to reach at the top of professional world. Negative self scripts are generally referred to as a negative belief that people have of themselves which helps them to remind constant negative statements for themselves. Negative self image can cause depression, isolation and many more problems. Other factors that affect body image are unfeasible prettiness and the culture of skinniness and self-improvement or self-damage. Sometimes person makes their own negative image and due this negative self image, they lose their self confidence. People with negative thoughts consider themselves as in efficient and on the contrary they keep on losing the image and self confidence. Due to negative self image the individual face various problems like social anxiety, depression and they also face the problem of sleep disorder.
