For Rahul there is a need of neurological counseling and psychotherapy programs as he is suffering from brain functioning disorder. You can take help from residential treatment centers where professional psychiatrists and psychologists are twenty four hours accessible. He is also suffering from social phobia that’s why he feels fear while meeting with others. Cognitive and behavioral therapy programs are prescribed by the clinics in order to improve the emotional and mental health of children. Try to encourage him to participate in sports and recreational activities or in social gatherings at home. It will enhance his confidence to share his ideas with other people.

Cognitive behavioral therapy can be helpful for such type of stressed teen that is struggling with verbal and non-verbal communication. Anti-depressants or anti-anxiety medications are suggested by the doctors in order to reduce the stress level. To improve the communication skills, certain group activities are provided by the therapeutic centers or camps. For the improvement of Rahul, take him to some hospital in order to properly acknowledge the type of brain functioning disorder from which he is suffering from and then decide; after consulting the doctor, about the therapies that will be effective for him.

He is suffering from Autism spectrum disorders. An autism spectrum disorder (ASD), also called a pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), is a biological brain disorder that significantly affects an individual’s ability to understand people, interpret events, communicate, and interact with others. Autism spectrum disorders are caused by complex genetic and environmental factors beyond the control of the child or the child’s family. Speech, behavior, and occupational therapy provided early in a child’s life have been found to be particularly beneficial to a child’s cognitive, communication, and behavioral skills. Group psychotherapy allows a child to practice language, behavior, and social skills in a carefully structured setting. Social skills training groups teach children to assess their behaviors in social settings and provide guidance in appropriate social behaviors. School-based counseling assists a child in adjusting to the demands of school. School counselors can develop helpful techniques to aid a child in the classroom, on the playground, and during the transition between school and home. Individual psychotherapy may be helpful to address particular social, emotional, or behavioral issues.
