I am Laura, few months ago I was very worried and upset due to the self cutting problem of my 14 year old daughter. I asked her the reason many time but she did not said any thing and used to begin weeping.

I felt that she in emotional pain but I did not know the reason behind her pain. I felt that like to tell her problem but she could not tell. She had made cuts many times in her hands and other body parts. I scared with the thought that some where my daughter trying to commit suicide. One day I told my whole problem to my close friend. He gave me address of a treatment center. I met with a psychiatrist there. She had a long conversation with my daughter. After that she told me that my daughter is suffering with episodic self injury problem. She told me that this is not a suicide attempt but it’s a way to release the pain. I was feeling a satisfaction. After that she started treatment for my daughter. She gave few therapies and meditations. After some time my daughter recovered from her self injury problem. Now she has come out from her emotional pain and living well.
